28 april 1982, was a big day for this 2cv, as it was its first day on the road. It was delivered by Bakker, the Citroën-dealer in Zaandam.
The owner used it regularly, but not on long distances, because in ’90 it only had driven 46.103km. Around that time it got sold to a colleague of his in Purmerend. There it made some extra kilometers, up to the present 57.000km.
In March ’95 the car was parked in the barn and unregistered. The plan was to restore it, but you know how that goes… It had nice company of a fifties Opel and gathered dust and a severe damage to the left rear door. On the last day of 2015 we got a call if we were interested in a nice 2cv, it had to go and the Opel as well, because the barn was going to be rebuild. We went there straight away and the 2cv celebrated New Year’s Eve with us.
After a period of storage in our project line-up, we took it into the garage a few months ago and started a serious job on it. The body was restored, body panels replaced where necessary (no, we couldn’t get the dent out of the rear door). It also got a new chassis and the technique got some attention too. It had survived its use and time very well, so we could re-use almost all of it. The interior has some small used marks, but we kept it to keep some extra originality in the car. It was just cleaned and got some new springs.
Result? Just, very beautiful!
We deliver it with a new APK, fully serviced and with a full tank.
